New Year, New Obsessions

Here are a few of my current obsessions:

This is just about the best idea for a blog ever. I particularly enjoy the pie charts which illustrate the factors that make these historical dudes so bangable. I hope to read much more of this in 2011.

I had an amazing cashew chowder at The Inn Season Cafe over the holidays. Ever since, I've been experimenting with cashews in my cooking. I intend to try this corn and cashew chowder recipe over the weekend. I'm not a huge fan of cold soups, so I'll probably cook mine.

Each year I make some sort of new years resolution, usually to stop biting my nails, that I don't keep. This year is all about renewal for me and my resolutions are a bit more ambitious. The one change I'm sure I'll succeed in is having long luxurious 1960's hair à la Jean Shrimpton. I've ditched the bleach and am attempting to discover my natural color.

My winter soundtrack has been Connie Converse. Her music was so pretty and melancholy. Plus, she disappeared in the mid-seventies, which makes her an eerie figure.
